Stayed at the Vrissiana Hotel in August and thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. The rooms were of a good standard though the child's bed could have been a proper bed rather than a small camp bed. It would not be suitable for a teenager. (No shower curtain but I am sure these will be fitted in the future.) The breakfast and evening meals were excellent. All staff were friendly and helpful. We are planning to go back to Cyprus is a couple of years time and will definately look into staying at the Vrissiana Hotel again.

This hotel has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, rooms are modern and well equipped, including flat screen tv. The hotel seems to aim itself to couple's as opposed to family's.

The hotel is also very popular for weddings as it is right on the see front. Staff are friendly and helpful - poolside restaurant offers great choice.

First time to Cyprus and a good hotel to start off with.

Staff were friendly and food was what we expected (good and plenty of choice). Rooms clean and comfortable and daily maid service was completed almost as soon as you left the room.

Side sea views were really of a patch of dusty land at side of the hotel and at right angles to the sea. This land is a car park for locals and beach visitors in high season.

Not much going on in the evenings as the entertainment was to a very basic standard and limited.

So to summarise - If you want a relaxing holiday without booming music and with good service superb beach location (except the room view) good food and very friendly Cypriot eastern European staff, then at the price this hotel is definitely one to go for.

Oh and if you want to sample some Scuba then there are regular opportunities during the week to sample in the pool. I even took the challenge in the sea (expensive but worth it) and yes I saw Nemo.

Our 7th time to Protaras, 5th time at Vrissiana, with its superb beach side location. My lady and I are 'beach bums' at heart so it suits us down to the ground.
Just nicely reopened late July after extensive refurbishment, much needed as the Hotel was looking very tired. That said the original staff more than compensated, always remembering us from previous visits and making us feel very welcome....sad to see them gone.

The refit is very impressive, across every area of the Hotel and has lifted the standard to 4star plus. We were told something around 3 million pounds had been invested and knowing what it was like before we can see how much work must have been completed in the intervening 9months. The pool area is fantastic and the surrounding bar and shaded seating areas are very special, well thought through and luxurious.

As always the devil is in the detail and some work in our room (minor paint and wallpapering poor quality) let them down, however, that is more their issue than ours. Also some teething troubles as may be expected as the new staff find their way around but overall the staff were very helpful, although for some clearly English was very much their second/third language. They were all attentive to our needs and couldn't help us enough to make our stay an enjoyable one.

The Dining Room was very well appointed although there wasn't a terrific choice for the evening meal but the quality wasn't bad .....breakfast was very good and they do say start the day well (breakfast like a king). There were no organised activities through the day if you’re looking for this but I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Not sure but we did hear the Hotel was to be Adult only next year which I can understand given the fixtures and fittings (inside and out) were essentially white. There were quite a few children there in our first week but they were all very well behaved and no great problem.

Not sure the All Inclusive deal will be worthwhile given there are plenty of restaurants in Protaras and not enough going on at this time to keep you in the Hotel all the time.

We also heard they were hoping for an all year round availability, again cannot see it working given Protaras closes from November through to April/May.

Some of the bars nearby are a little boisterous if you are looking for an early night but it suits us....in fact we can recommend Bells Bar just a short walk away.

We will be going back next September and have been spoilt by the Vrissiana....just depends where they pitch their prices.

The hotel has been completely refurbished and is very nice and clean. Possibly one of the better ones now in Protaras. The bedrooms are very light and bright, with flat screen TV, tea and coffee facilities. The outside area is lovely, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, there is no need to get up early to get a bed. Outside bar and snack area also very clean. The food in the hotel was also very good, the breakfasts were excellent and the snacks at the snack bar also excellent. The buffet meals were adequate. There were the usually whingers who moan about absolutely everything, don't really know why they bother to go on holiday. There was no real entertainment in the hotel, but it had only been open for 6 weeks. Next year I think the entertainment will be better. At the moment it is not really child friendly, but I prefer this now. We will definitely be going back to this hotel, next year if all goes to plan. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

Just returned from the Vrissiana Beach Hotel (05 Sept - 12 Sept). We had originally booked the Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel (next door) on HB basis but on our arrival here we were told by the manager we were being upgraded to the Vrissiana on AI. We were told there was booking problems, but others were in the same boat and we all assumed it was to get guests into the recenlty refurbished Vrissiana. On our arrival the Vrissiana staff were freiendly and helpful and the reception/lobby areas looked worthy of a 5* hotel, the views from the 'C-View' bar are great. Our room was ideal, it was brand new and still smelled brand new (no shower curtain though). The finish was contempory and the added bonus of a LCD TV was a plus. The Hotels outside areas are equally as good. The pool is clean and a good size, there are plenty of sunloungers both by the pool and overlooking the beach and the bar is excellent. We had food at the poolside bar most days as we were AI and the menu was good for what we wanted (salads, toasties, burgers...). The food at night was ok, but we were never 'blown away' it always seemed a bit repetitive. We chose to eat out a couple of nights as there is some good restaurants in Protaras itself. Breakfast was ok; fruit, yogourts, cereals and cooked breakfasts. What else do you need? All in all we had a good stay at the Vrissian Beach and I think we would definately go back, but maybe as HB.
